To optimize strength and durability while minimizing weight, we’ve crafted these skids from premium 7075-T6 Alloy, known for its superior strength-to-weight ratio. The carefully engineered shapes and contours of these skids ensure maximum rigidity and longevity.
Designed with practicality in mind, our skid plates strategically position bolt heads up and out of harm’s way, particularly evident on the rear crossmember and fuel tank skid. Installation requires removing the factory steel gas tank skid, shedding unnecessary weight while leaving the fuel tank securely in place.

UHMW – THE ULTRA HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT OPTION
Looking for an upgrade that boosts impact resistance and keeps you sliding over obstacles smoothly? Opt for our UHMW upgrade! Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) is a rugged, 1/4″ thick, abrasion-resistant black material similar to high-end cutting boards. UHMW is tougher and lighter than carbon steel, excels at absorbing impacts, and ensures your vehicle glides rather than gets stuck on challenging obstacles. Selecting this option means the UHMW comes pre-installed beneath your aluminum skids, adding approximately 35 lbs to the setup.
